Ots Studio is an application designed to allow for the creation and modification of Ots Media Files. An Ots file allows many different data types, such as audio data, video data, title/artist information, CD+G data, copyright information, album cover graphics, genre, mix point information, etc, to be encapsulated in a single file. Once the DirectShow filter is installed from the program taskbar, Media Files can be created from just about any format. Specifically mentioned format types are MP3, Mp2, MPEG1-video, MPEG2-video and even unencrypted VOB. Once the files have been generated, users can edit information on the file whether it is the title and artist, mix points, auto beat mixing or even cover art.
While Ots Studio would most likely be of best use to those who already use other Ots applications, it can be implemented as a stand-alone ripper. When this useful Ots utility is installed and in use, there are some filters that might be considered if you want to enhance your sound production. Reference is made to the LAME encoders. This is a freestanding program that communicates with Ots software.
Mention is also made of AC3 filters which need to be downloaded if you want to convert audio stream to MP3 format. A number of licensing warnings are made on the developer’s website with regard to paying licensing fees before downloading patented products. At least it seems as though they have considered this relevant detail.
